Stir Up the World

Closing the Teach For America Blogging Gap
Feb 19 2011

the fun has arrived!!

My Big Box O’ Pre-Institute Work came in the mail today!  So exciting!  It included a copy of Teaching as Leadership, a big huge book of readings to do, an instruction booklet, and a DVD with all these cool video clips!  I know some people think it’s a chore, but compared to my homework for school, this is a blast!

I started it today, obviously, and I’m so glad I did.  It’s really getting me excited to go teach, and seeing the clips of successful teachers has given me faith that I too can be successful! I had kind of gotten bogged down in all of the logistics, in the stress of moving and how much money I have to save — I had lost the excitement I had about teaching.  Well, the excitement is back with a vengeance!

Woo hoo! :) I felt the same way on Friday when I got mine. I was supposed to work on my thesis and instead I worked on the institue work. Good luck!!!

Definitely! I see my semester grades plunging, and I’m okay with it!
